About Us

Assistance League Southwest Washington is an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to providing programs and services to transform lives and strengthen our community. Through our philanthropic programs, we support our communities by:

- Helping children in 26 local schools with high poverty levels by supplying shoes, clothing and literacy supplies,
- Providing new clothing to youth in foster care through back to school and spring shopping events,
- Giving sponsorships to children whose families cannot afford their needed pediatric therapy,
- Equipping local hospital ERs with Assault Survivor Kits® so men, women and children who survive assault can make a fresh start in new clothing,
- Maintaining a playground garden so preschoolers can plant, grow, harvest and eat their own vegetables,
- Providing cuddly stuffed bears to be given to children in stressful situations, and
- Supporting teens as they transition from foster care to independent living.
